Gaza fishermen caught up in Israel-Palestinian sea feud

Fishermen in Gaza are protesting as Israel has restricted them to a three mile offshore limit during the recent conflict.   Israel claims the blockade aims to prevent Hamas, from acquiring weapons or materials that could be used against it.  According to Reuters reports, despite the usual 12 mile limit, the Israeli navy has curtailed fishermen to a six mile limit, reducing that to three miles when conflict has escalated. Fishermen have described being shot at or harassed by patrols when at the limit which is marked by illuminated red buoys.
