UK Coastguard warns on unexploded ordnance being washed ashore

The UK Coastguard Twitter feed @MCAMedia has warned of the hazard of unexploded bombs and other ordnance from the Second World War being washed ashore on the British coast.  In recent years a number of incidents have occurred of wartime munitions being deposited on the coastline, including one on the North Sea coast near Mappleton consisting of approximately 1,000 bombs and other explosive training ordnance.
