The Indian Navy’s INS TRISHUL reportedly thwarted a piracy attempt on the bulk carrier JAG AMAR (44127 gt, built 2017) in the Gulf of Aden. The INS TRISHUL pursued the attackers, arrested 12 and recovered 1 AK47, grapnels, ropes, fuel drums and ladders.  The 26 Indian crew are reported to be safe.
